Each ITG assembly is assigned a individual number.
In addition to this number is a description of the
assembly. If no assembly number is shown in
the catalog sheet for the Series and arrangement
you require for your application, then the assembly
can be specified by the description, base on the following
example.
Example; 30 Series assembly #01-004 the description is,
ITG-30S-1:1.47SU-1 3/8”-6
#1

1 3/8"-20
“Ø45”
NOTE:
CCW = Counter Clockwise and CW = Clockwise.
This notation indicates the direction of shaft rotation
when viewing the ends of the shaft. Arrows
showing rotation are over the top of the shaft
CCW = Counter Clockwise
CW= Clockwise

#2
Shaft & gear arrangement.
"S" = Standard in Rotary Cutter gear boxes and is the
same as “F” & “G” in Schematic table for Right Angle Boxes.
"R" = Reversed in Rotary Cutter gear boxes and is the
same as “B” & “C” in Schematic table for Right Angle Boxes.
"T" = Through shaft in Rotary Cutter applications, and is the
same as “D” & “E” in Schematic table for Right Angle Boxes.
#3
"1:1.47" = Speed Increasing gear ratio.
"1.47:1" = Speed Reducing gear ratio
#4
"SU" = Speed Increasing. This is secondary specification to #3 above.
"RD" = Speed Reducing. This is secondary specification to #3 above.
#5
"1 3/8" = Input Shaft diameter in inches. Also see #7, #8, & #9 below
for other shafts sizes on multiple shaft boxes.
"Ø35" = Input Shaft diameter in milliliters.
#6
"6" = Indicates Spline shaft that has 6 teeth.
"20" = Indicates Spline shaft with 20 teeth.
"SB" = Shear Bolt. The driving force is transmitted to the Input Shaft through a bolt.
#7
"1 3/4"-20" Used to specify Output Shaft #2 size. Example: See #5 & #6 above.
#8
“Ø45” Used to specify Output Shaft #3 size in millimeters. Example: See #5 & #6 above.
#9
Used to specify Output Shaft # 4 size on arrangements “H” & “I”. Example: See #5 & #6 above
The Gearboxes are offered in 3 basic configurations, that would be like the letters “L”, “T”, and “X”
Each configuration can be arranged in different speed increasing or speed reducing and shaft rotations as shown in the following schematics.
Some types of assemblies are limited to the “L” and “T” configurations only.
Any shaft can be used as the Input Shaft. For illustration the shaft noted as
#1 is considered the Input Shaft.
