Patch
holes the right way with
theFlameless FP5 Pothole Patcher
Put
an end to potholes quickly, efficiently, and permanently with
the FP5 Pothole Patcher. This advanced, self-contained unit
gives your agency the most effective way to respond to pothole
problems and end public complaints.
Pothole repairs made
with hot mix that is
not maintained at proper
temperature produces repairs that are short-lived and often require
repeated applications. "Throw and go: mixes are expensive and
environmentally unfriendly. But the FP5 combines all the tools for
doing the job properly in one total package with results that last
for years.
The
FP5 Out performs the competition
Only
the FP5 has a unique, self-cleaning, air-assisted tack coat
system that uses the same wand to blow out the pothole with
compressed air and apply the tack coat. Because the system
is powered by air, not a troublesome pump, the spray nozzle
stays unclogged. Unlike competitors' models, there's no problem-plaqued,
pump-driven tack coat system, and the emulsion is evenly
sprayed into the pothole.
The
FP5's air-driven system can return the tack coat material
from the supply line to the storage tank, a process that
also simultaneously cleans the wand, the line, and agitates
the emulsion in the tank.
During
the work day, hot mix is uniformly warmed and / or held to
constant temperature by an electrical heat system that is
thermostatically controlled and supplied by an on board AC
generator. THere is no propane or heating oil used in the
hopper heating system of this unit thus eliminating the need
for maintaining a hot oil system and frequent refills of
propane.
Leftover
hot mix is never wasted in the FP5. Constant mix temperature
can be maintained overnight or over the weekend with the
same hopper electrical heat system supplied by an external
power source through a furnished power cord. A crew can load
hot mix late in the day (when lines at the plant are short)
and be ready for quick starts the next morning - or when
emergency repairs are needed. Unlike some competitors' models,
the FP5's electric heating system has a ground-fault interrupter
system for personnel safety.
-
The
FP5's insulated tack-coat storage tank is heated with its own
thermostatically controlled heating system.
-
The
FP5 has insulated, hydraulically powered steel doors that save
time during loading and reduced crew member's contact with the
mix.
-
The
cleaning-fluid system, including storage tank, pump, spray wand,
and hose, is used to clean the mix hopper walls and handtools.
-
A
propane hand torch is provided to dry out wet potholes and warm
the pothole edges (and can also be used to clean hand tools).
-
Operator
controls are located at the rear curb-side for easy access and
safety.
-
The
FP5's built-in deck provides safe and easy access to the hopper
and convenient filling of the deck-mounted storage tanks.
-
The
FP5 is powered by the truck engine via a PTO and a variable volumn
load sense hydraulic pump. This provides correct hydraulic flow
at all times.
-
Every
machine comes with a complete, self-teaching manual that contains
clear, easy-to-understand instructions for mounting, operating,
and maintaining the FP5. Most users learn to operate the FP5 proficiently
with only a few hours training.
-
The
entire FP 5 system, including tanks and spoils bin, is one complete
unit. It can be easily mounted at the factory or at your shop on
any suitable new or used truck. Units fit standard freight containers
for easy and economical overseas shipment.
Advanced
features and options for enhanced FP5 capabilities

The
FP5's optional pavement breaker and mix compactor can be mounted
on a hydraulically operated platform for safer and easier handling,
thus reducing the risk of back injuries.
- Pavement
breaker hammers come in various sizes, and hammer attachments are
also available.
- A
spring loaded reel provides quick, organized storage for a breaker
hammer and hoses.
- An
optional, rear mounted gravity dump spoils bin makes it easy to
load pothole waste directly, without wasted time and extra steps.
- A
second, side mounted gravity dump spoils bin can also be used for
additional storage of waste or for traffic cones, etc.
- An
optional sand spreader attachment with cab controls increases the
FP5's versatality by allowing its use for ice control.
- Safety
systems such as a strobe light, arrow board, and back up alarm
are offered.
